This is my first post in the Buck forum.
I saw the SBT in Knives Illustrated and I think I might be in love.
Know for the big questions.
How do you like it?
How thick is the liner lock?
How thick is the knife?
I carry a Spyderco Military and like it alot but this may give it some rest.I do not like a real thick knife so if it is not much thicker than the Military I will buy one.
Got any pics of it along side other knives.

Let me first say that I do not own a spyderco military so I cannot compare the two. I do own a SBT and it is an outstanding knife. Well thought out and designed. If you don’t like a thick blade, it may push your limits but it is not as thick as some. There have been complaints about the thickness of the liner but these complaints come from casual observers. All posts that I have seen from constant users of this knife say that the liner thickness is good to go. Seems like a solid lock up to me. The blade treatment given by Paul Bos is up to his usual level of perfection. Holds an edge better than most other knives. When I don’t want to carry my SnG, the BST will go with me. My advise would be – buy one. They usually have them on ebay. I got mine from the folks at TAD (10% Buck knife discount and free shipping !)

The Buck SBT is a bit thicker than the Spyderco Miltary, but not so much to prevent easy carry. It's certainly more pocketable than the full sized Buck Striders. I like the ergonomics, the stonewashed finish of the blade and the overall design. Lots of people have complained that the liners appear too thin when compared to the thickness of the blade, but I've been using mine for the last 2 weeks and have no bad issues to report. I suppose for pure asthetics a slightly thicker liner would be more appealing to most knife enthusiasts, but again I have no problems to report on mine. Personally, I would I would prefer a plain edge over a partially serrated one and I do wish that Buck would offer that option.
