8OT Before and After

I recently acquired a beat-to-death Schrade 8OT. I am not a master craftsman, but I am happy with the results.

After doing this, two things come to mind. First, knives are not pry-bars. And second, people should not use a powered stone wheel to try and sharpen a knife.
 
You did a great job on it. Lot of use in that knife and I"m sure it is happy with what you've done.

Looking good. As Ed said, lots of life left in that one. I'm currently carrying a 34OT in similar condition.
 
What is so great about knives like that, is that you can only make them better, and down right good, from their bad condition. You done great. I learned to hand sharpen a 12OT that had a broken tip. I was pleased with what I finished up with.
