You're building yourself a fierce collection heinlein! What does that make, your 43rd and 44th khukuris in three months? :D

Only 29th and I've given 3 as gifts and plan on gifting at least 2 more. If Elevyn fired off his e-mail first only 28.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your friend Cyndi. Hope all turns out well.

Well I hope Cyndi is doing fine. My father is in the hospital as well . I need to go out so I will respond to Auntie Yangdu's e-mail when I get back

Cyndi is doing good, thank you all for the good thoughts

Looks like heinlein beat me to it, next time there will be less thinking and more typing :)

I am snowbirding for the first time after retiring last year and on the way south I had a mishap which cost me $$$ and resulted in my arriving in Yuma Thanksgiving day instead of the previous Sunday. I've been looking at the past few days DOTDs and regretfully letting them go to you other sharks. Today I was told an insurance check is in the mail and I couldn't resist reverting to a great white again.

Hey Heinlein, as you enjoy the sprawling metropolis that is Yuma, don't forget to eat at the Chile Pepper. Feels like you're walking through someone's living room when you first walk in but it's the secret pride and joy of the city!

I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food and salsa is not to my taste so I tend to stay away from Mexican restaurants with chili or peppers in the name although I do like Mexican food if it is made mild, suitable for a wimpy white guy. Should I still give it a try?

Haha, sure, there's still plenty for you to order there! Beside, if I remember correctly, it's a quiet town anyway -- it'll give you something to do.

Heinlein,

There is a place that I recommend you "don't" go to called the Bombing Range. Its about 40 miles into the desert, you get attacked by foreign armies and frequently get assaulted by air too! Did I mention the sand storms?!? If you spend the night you get a free rattle snake in your sleeping bag!

I stayed there in a tent for about 4 months, the food is terrible, the temperature outside is either too hot or too cold (in the same day) and the floor is dirt! They don't even have a ladies night... Or a single lady for that matter!

I would recommend you soak your kukri handles regularly, the dry air sucks every bit of moisture out of everything...
