Looking for recommendations for a 8-10oz fixed blade. Needs it to be 6 inches + or I'll just bring my war dog or scrapper 5.
So far, Basic 6LE (although the size of the ricasso bothers me) and Fehrman Shadow Scout are rising to the top, but I'd like to get any ideas from the group as well.
I've got a handful of Busse's, but have never owned a Fehrman. Anyone around here own one? I've researched a bunch and find it hard to believe there aren't any YouTube videos of it in comparison to others.
I hear that CPM 3V is more rust prone than INFI, but is it anything to worry about? I've got a Bravo Necker 2 in 3V and haven't experienced rust issues, but it also hasn't seen a ton of use.
I use my blades to process firewood while backpacking.
