Recieved my first Becker today,it's a BK2.I work for Amazon and I recieved a $50 gift card for being a trainer during Christmas season, that combined with employee discount led me to be able to get the knife for around $9 after shipping .I plan to strip it down, let it develop a natural patina and get a leather sheath for it.This is a new BK2 with the laser etched logo My question is what type of screwdriver/wrench do you use to remove the scales from the blade, pictures I have seen of other Beckers had allen screws,I have never seen screws like the ones on my knife.

I just picked up a BK2 as well---- mine as allen head bolts on the handles--- standard size 5/32. Can you post a photo of your handle bolts???

The standards for Beckers are #10-32 x 5/8" socket head cap screws which use a 5/32 Allen key as states previously. The factory scales are counter bored on one handle while the other handle is molded for a #10-32 nut. My guess is that the screw is probably a torx (which most people aren't used to seeing). Pics, however, would be very helpful though.

My BK-2 with the laser etch came from there within the past month and the screw takes a 5/32 Allen wrench also.
