Hey Bob...

Excellent....

Actually have been looking for these myself...

Wish I could get one in a 10"-12" though..
But for $20.00,, thats a good deal....

Just built Yet another disk grinder, but the plate I have has a high spot in it,, so I have to tune it up before I can use it...

Thanks..

Eric....

I would HIGHLY recommend screwing and glueing a piece of 1/2" micarta to the face of it. This will provide a better surface to grind against and have have a better feel than the aluminum. I "crowned" The face of my micarta disk (convex) from the edge to the center. This allows you to pass the center with larger blades and rock smaller blades back and forth.
I don't realy flat grind much anymore but the grinder is terrific for Kydex and tapering tangs.

Is a variable speed reversing disc sander the way to go for flat grinds? Im not doing very well with my belt sander and platen?

i've only used a belt sander for grinder, but it just takes a little time to get the hang of it.
