9" fighter with stabilized Elk antler handle

This fighter blade is over 9 inches long, I used stainless for the fittings, and stabilized elk antler for the handle..
 
Nice looking knife. Why did you make the ricasso that long? Just like the looks or do you like to hang a finger over the guard?
 
Lots of my customers say they like to hang a finger over the guard... the camera made everything look out of proportion...
