9 Line Knives...anyone got a clue?

Do you have a use for that blade design? Because for eighty dollars more you could get a CR Sebbie. The knife your looking at uses good materials, but in the long run you would probably be more happy with CR (Chris Reeve) warranty etc.

By the way welcome to the forum, and Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the welcome, and I will look into the CR Sebbie. HardHeart, you're right, It is Warren Thomas. Your succinct response gave me more info than I've been able to find on the net over 5-6 searches. Thanks! What do you know about Warren Thomas?

It is a Warren Thomas design. 9 Lives is a production company started by Warren to produce some of his designs on a "mid tech" level though I beolieve they are using a slightly different term. You can find more info here http://www.9lineknives.com/. I have no affilitation to the company UI jsut thought I would provide some info.

I have never owned one. I was able to handle one at a show. They seem like very nicely made knives. I like Warrens stuff because it is so dtfferent but I have never owned any of it. They are cool designs but I havent laid out the cash for one becaue I probably would not carry them.

i met and spoke to him at a knife show last year. very nice man. i handled some of his work, a few folders and a wakazashi.

i found the fit/finish to be superb. amazingly light and quick. and extremely sharp!

what he had there was out of my price range, but i have seen a few i would like to own.

but i haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Thanks for the info. I like his designs, but they are pricey. Maybe I'll pick something up after I grab my first Busse.
