Anybody have any info on whether or not the 9" series of CRK's one-piecers is still being produced?
And if not, do y'all know when they were discontinued?

The reason I ask is I saw one of the 9" tantos on eBay and the guy claimed it was made fairly recently... I was under the impression they had ceased to be some years ago...

'Course, I also thought Townes Van Zandt had died 22 years ago... only to find out he was still alive and kicking when he came through Seattle several years ago... okay, he did actually die just a short while after his last show here... but I can sometimes get the wrong info stuck in my brain and now I'm wondering if that's what's up with my recollections of CRK's 9" versions...

The large Tanto is not a discontinued piece. It is considered "limited production" status, meaning that it is made every once in awhile in small runs. Rarer than continuous production pieces, but not unobtainable. Hope this helps.

Thanks JKI... it does answer my question... like I said, I hear things, or parts of things, and they get stuck in a funny crossreferencing pattern and I find I basically misunderstood something in the first place.. between bein' hard'o'hearin' and BSE... well, I appreciate the info! :D

Actually you were right- they were discontinued but due to demand the limited runs have been re- introduced.
