I was very behind on sheaths until this weekend. Just showing a pic of one, and a custom firesteel I made for it too.

Thanks bro. My hands are killing me today. Stitching 9 in one day. I gotta get some kinda glove or something.

Nine sheaths in one weekend-WOW! You're fast! I spent the whole day yesterday to make only one. Looks like you did a great job though.

Very nice package......like that Osage Orange, too. :)

Yeah, that ol' waxed thread'll cut into fingers like a knife after awhile.

Thanks guys, I feel like hell today. I was up till one am every night, sitting on the living room floor cutting, glueing, and sewing. My wife is a saint. Lemme tell you, I'm not used to seeing 1 am anymore....

Stitching 9 sheaths in one day would be tough on a machine..BY HAND!!! you sir are the man! and i guess im a big girl..nice work ..A+

I had to finish up 6 knives on Saturday and make the sheaths for them , I cheated and used Kydex , no way was I gonna try that many leather sheaths in one day. You are a stitching animal !!

nice work.

Here are the rest of the Nessmuk rigs finished up.

man that is very cool work!, i love the nessmuk shape anyway, but that just makes it even better! the firesteel is a great addition, but my question is " How did you get that hammered metal look in the sheath for the black handled one?"

He used a metal hammer of course...a ball peen, right Andy?

Awesome looking rigs! I'm particularly fond of the black handle/red liner rig. The work is definitely paying off!

You might want to look into a sailor's palm, if you decide to do another stitching marathon.

KA, Nasty is correct. I tool the border in, then give the face of the sheath a hammering with a polished ball peen hammer. Take care not to overdo it. Its really easy to ruin leather this way.

Scott. I'm healing, but I did use a good bit of vitamin e oil. When I got my scar the Dr. gave me a bottle. Good stuff.

Wes, the firesteels are made of ferocerium (mishmetal). I've got a source for the raw steels and add a handle. They're huge. 10mm x 100mm

Tohatchi, that one is ebony. A request. I'm kinda fearing it will split. Gonna get some black mikarta at Blade this week, and drop ebony from the lineup. Thats a real heartbreaker too, because ebony is a beautiful wood to work with. Polishes into almost a gemstone state.

Googling a sailor's palm now.

Those are great. I've been seeing a lot more nessmuk designed blades and they're starting to grow on me.

What does a set like these pictures go for $$?? Feel free to email or post here. Or if you have a website let me know.

Thanks.
