9051 SBK care

Hey all I finally found a afo 9051 sbk. it is replacing a sogtac auto that has served me well for 7-8 years, but i wanted something a bit sturdier and higher quality. Any suggestions on maint and care. everything i have read is that these are pretty indestructible Benchmade was also generous enough to send me a deep carry pocket clip free of charge (amazing)...

I have multiple sog knifes and have been impressed with their customer service, Benchmade is already been great too....

Congrats and welcome to Benchmade! The 9051 is pretty solid, shouldn't need any special maintenance. Just take care of it like any other quality knife and enjoy.

Was in the mailbox today. Definitely bigger and thicker than the sogtac. Feels way more sturdy and secure in the hand. Razor sharp and will hopefully retain the edge better than the SOG.

Still like the sog but will be my backup or suit knife due to size.

9051 is one of my all-time favorite knives. The ergos are amazing, it has never failed to open, and the 154CM from Benchmade is easily in my top 3 favorite steels. I grab my 9051 when I know the knife is going to be dunked in water, blood, or both at some point during the day.
