9254 Steel?

Hello All,

I have a chance to pick up a bunch of new 9254 steel here. I am just wondering what people think its relative pros and cons are as a blade steel.

Another spring steel with similar HT and properties to 5160. The high Si levels make it a bit more suseptable to decarburization.

I had some 9260 several years ago and I really liked it. Pretty sure its almost identical to 5160 except it doesn't have any crome. It will produce a decent temperline if thats what your after.
