Hey all! I just noticed the 928 became available on the Canadian site I buy from. Looks to me like it would be a great knife! Just curious if any of you have one yet, and if so, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! It may help to "guide" me in the right direction! :D. All comments welcome!

I think it's a great knife. I was pleasantly surprised when I received mine. Slim but substantial. Fills the hand nicely.

A nice feature is the steel insert. They put some good thought into this knife and it's details.

The f&f on the one I have is excellent and flips great.

Here's another recent thread with some good comparison pic's.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate the pics and the link! Did a quick search before posting but must have missed it. Looks like one of these may have to join the collection!

The tan G10 was the deal-breaker for me on this knife. You may not care about color, but man it was a serious turn off for me with this knife. Everything else on the 928 seems wonderful, but online and in person the tan G10 is disgusting. I will never understand knife companies using tan/brown g10. Tan is a "blah" color at best, and it really holds this knife back. Benchmade is absolutely confounding when it comes to color. They make a knife in a fantastic, little used color such as the 477-1 Emissary, but follow it up with a knife aimed at the same buyers with an infuriating black handle/satin blade combo (490 Amicus). I know Benchmade is capable of great color schemes (See: most Nakamura models, Blue/Black layered G10 models) but they drop the ball when introducing new knives. I won't own this knife until it is available in another color g10.

I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. I actually like the tan/brown G10. Got an Ares with it. I think the blue and black G10 is awful.

This. The minute BM changes over to a color scheme like the 810-1401, or perhaps the all-gray 15080-1, or even a carbon fiber -1 series I'm a buyer. I just can't spend for that hideous tan. I know some will say RIT dye it, but my knives are factory. They'll stay that way too.

Agreed good sir! My most carried folder at the moment has a brown g10 handle. At least it's not black! Nothing against black g10, it's just so common.

While not as appealing as other colors, I like tan because it works as Khaki camo for office wear. Also I'm sure there are a lot of scale modders out there that can make whatever color you want. I'm just happy to see variations from the all Black scales from years past.
