I made a 30 mile road trip to a super knife store with all intentions of getting the Benchmade 484, but then I saw a new 940-1 which I had to put my hands on. Once it was in my hand I saw it was #32 of 750 and I had to get it. I normally carry a standard 940, it's my favorite EDC, so I didn't get the 484 today but I will work on that, but I was lucky enough to get #32. I have to mention also I think I got a pretty good price, you can see in the pics, thanks to my area knife store. Good luck guys on upcoming purchases!

Another confirmation that you're better off buying a Benchmade from a retail store. Better prices and you can check the quality!

Hey gastonian just to let you know it wasn't (house of ______) it was Pradco Gun & Pawn in Waco, they have have really good prices, they even had some mini-grips with sheepsfoot blade in PINK for $59.99 or black mini-grips $69.99. The other store has great selection but very high prices.

Went to my local knife store, and waddaya know? They had one of these! Apparently they had ordered one for a guy, but he decided at the last minute that it was too expensive and left it there. I handled it and fell in love. Its an amazing knife. Unfortunately the store had it at $310, so I left empty handed. I dont think ill ever end up getting one :(

Go back in a couple of months and negotiate from $200!

The 940-1 ROCKS!!!! I sold off two 940's because I didn't care for the aluminum or the way it dinged up so easily. The combination of S90V in carbon fiber is great by itself, but that in a 940 model is killer. My favorite factory Benchmade and 2nd favorite Benchmade overall. (I have a M390 707 Seaquel with custom CF/G10 scales that is my favorite.).

Mine came with bladeplay, but simple adjusting the pivot screw and it's perfect. Centered, no play, even grinds. Steller!

Just call bikedaddy's local store and buy one for $200 and have them ship it. They are out a lot cheaper than $310. $250 is likely average.
