Ok Knife community. I understand that there are many knives out there. I am not challenging that these two knives are the only knives. However, strictly based on these two which of these should I keep. I don't want both and I know people would keep both. While I respect all people's knives and views on having multiple knives... I am trying to use ONE knife and sell the rest. These are the final two I have and I'm trying to determine the one I keep and the one I let go.

Please give me your choice and reason from your perspective which one you would keep.

I'd keep the mini Freek. Better slicing geometry, chunkier handle (better ergos imo), and s90v. Nothing wrong with the 940-2, but id pick the Super Freek over a 940, so I imagine I'd pick a mini Freek as well.

I generally agree with what soc_monki said. The 565-1 is an objectively better knife. Since you will only have one knife, the more practical design will serve you better. If you are truly split on the decision, keep the Freek.

With that being said, I like the 940-2 better and that is the knife I would personally keep. I don't have a good reason, I just find the 940 design more aesthetically pleasing to the point that I can overlook its flaws.

I would say pick the one you most enjoy carrying and using. If you are going to one knife just think about what you do most often and which one would do it better.

I didn't like how my 940 cut. It just wasn't slicy enough for me.

Why get rid of one? Remember two is one and one is none?

As for just picking one, I would pick the 940. The Freek series are very good but there is something about them I don’t like.

I don't have the mini Freak, but comparing it's stat with the 940-1 I have, I personally would choose 940-1 over the Mini Freak. Almost the same weight, but 940-1 has ~0.4" longer blade and longer handle, which offers a good full grip. The closed length of Mini Freak is 4.05", but the actual holding length would be shorter than that. YMMV.

Much respect for you just being honest about not having a reason other than your preference.

Thank you so much for your response. Yeah..I already had 940-1 and the one I got had some heat treat problems or something because it was really didn't cut as well as it should have. Even now that I have the 565-1 with same steel ...it's way better than the result I was getting with the 940-1 that I had. But I'm pretty sure it was just mine but that's how I got the the 940-2.

I’d keep the 940-2 and return the Mini Freek. Then take the difference in price between the 940-2 and the 565-1, add $60 and buy a Hogue Mini Ritter which arguably is a better “freek” than the Freek.

Two knives, problem solved.

I like the way you did that!

Well done.
