940-2 vs original question

I’ve had the 940-2 for about a year now and love it. I adjusted it for zero blade play (the ONLY way I roll). I notice the handle flexes some during harder cutting.

This is most notable when I’m battoning through hickory and iron wood (kidding!).

Does the original 940 with aluminum handles flex less, or is this movement due to the partial liners?

G10 is going to flex more than the aluminum of the original.

I ended up taking my 940-2 scales and swapping blades with my 943 so that I had the 940 blade with the aluminum handle (very rigid) and the 943 blade with the G10 for lighter duty and carry. I prefer this configuration and occasionallly carry one or the other.
