Try a drop of blue lube. If that doesn't work you may want to take the blade out and clean the washers. I've found benchmade can leave some gunk in there from time to time. I kinda think it is some locktite that may spill out of the pivot and get on the washers. Also they may have replaced your washers which will mean they will need to break in again or you could polish them lightly. Also there is an amount of breaking in the blade does while moving along the washers. The new blade will need to go through this process as well. its a lot of factors that could be giving you trouble. I would try the blue lube first. If that doesn't help take it apart and clean the washers and relude. if that doesn't help take It apart and polish the washers. Finally if that doesn't help you may just have to live with it until it breaks in. It will break in though. Just flick the crap out of it for a while.

i would say adjust it until it almost drops freely. then use it for a few days and it should be very good. That is the experience with mine

Sometimes BKC will opt for using Loc-Tite on the pivot (and screws). My old 710D2 just came back from warranty servicing and the blade was stiff, yet perfectly centered. Got my T10 driver out and broke the bond, then adjusted it and problem solved.

I like to try lube and flick to loosen it up before adjusting the pivot......IF the blade is centered!
