940 Pivot Screw Keeps Coming Loose

The pivot screw on my 940 keeps coming loose after 10-15 openings and gets to the point that there is a lot of blade play. Any one have any tricks besides locktite?

I have heard of people using plumbers tape but loctite works the best in my experience

I have used loctite tape with good success on both my 710's. The tape is less messy.

JB Weld. Don't mess around with anything less! Just kidding, a drop of blue loctite on the threads will fix the problem quickly.

How long are you waiting before you use the knife? I wait at least 24 hours.

10/12 wraps of 1/4" teflon tape works for me.

Just use blue loctite. It's cheap and fixes the issue 100%

Ended up just using loctite. Thanks for the input guys.

Mine did the same thing, and so did a buddy of mines. I put blue loctite on them and its working fine for both.
