960T Pin?

Schrade called it a "pick". I'd like to hear what all people have used it for.

Good evening,

My Grandad lived in Ulster Couinty and was a big Schrade guy (wish I had his collection)- think the idea was for use in poking holes in cans in the pre-poptop days? The knives I have with this "blade" are all Waldens.

That said, I've used it for "shot-gunning" beer and repairing leather sandles [ie. poking broken strap through and re-tie]

In the Shortline catalogs & price lists it is called a "Field Pick."
Not sure what that is.

Practically speaking, I think it would make a serviceable scribe for a carpenter & maybe even for a mechanic.

Oh you know digging at things and stuff like that. Scratching on stuff, and cleaning stuff out. Etc.........I don't know.

While I have heard it referred to as a toothpick,
that is the one thing I am pretty sure it was NOT intended to be.

Makes my fillings hurt to think about it. I think flickers and chimpanzees use them to coax ants out of the hill.
