96ot do you like them ?

I got one of these off flea bay a few days ago. Nice heafty folder that should work well on rabbits and squirrels as well as field dressing the yearly deer. I bought a 77ot a few months ago for hunting but I may like the trapper better. Time will tell.
The 96ot came with a nice brown sheath. Were they sold that way? Getting a new Schrade always makes me happy and I just have to tell you guys all about it.

I purchased the 97 from a brick and mortar and it came with a sheath. My 96 did not but I purchased it from ebay.

Thanks. The 97 has the saw instead of the spey, right?

Yes. The 97 has the saw and the middle liner is a liner lock which locks the saw in place. From the outside they look identical. There are some which have different scales, Staglon instead of sawcut Delrin, but I think they are due to being a spare parts knife in the final days. The 96 was made from 92-04 and the 97 was from 00-03.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but that's the info I have.

Neat knife, although the 97 with the saw is my choice. I like the tweezers and pick, too. But you can't go wrong with a good trapper for hunting season.

Ive had one for years, great knife. Good for small and (some) big game alike!
