could anyone give me an idea as to the value of a '98
Commander in good to xlnt condition with orig. box?
The fine folks @ EKI weren't real sure. Thanks for any help
BTW, EKI's warranty service is tops.
Thanks,

DITCH

I think one can safetly access it to be worth approx. $250, depending on the condition. Selling prices have varied from $175-$550.

Hope that helps.

The satin '98 Commander is my all time fav. production.

Thanks, Hilton
That's about what I figured. What's this I hear about a

Wow,

Who'd have thought the 98' numbered commanders would take off so well. When I got my 98' BT plain blade commander and it's been a tank of a knife I didnt' anticipate it growing in value. In fact it just came back from bodycote with a chromium/boron carbide treatment. Like brand new again.

I'd been out of the loop for awhile and I'm amazed how much the 98's are selling for. I can understand why though after having this one I had considered getting another but I know I'd never be happy with the thinner liner/scale model. But I'd have to say even with the 98's going for $300+ I don't think I'd part with mine.

Great knife, plan to continue to carry it almost everywhere.

Here's a photo of a couple of Emerson Custom CQC8's for your reference.

Sniper308

What Raye said... :D

(Side note...Sniper308 has one of the best/extensive collections of Emerson customs as well as the super rare pre-Tac Emersons....we'd love him more if only we did not hate him so much;) )

:D:D

Thanks Raye!

Hilton: Don't make me post any more photos! Now what about that #001 Brend of your's?

"Hand Sculpted and Champhored Black G-10 Scales", according to Ernie. It also has the old Emerson Black Clip. Thanks for noticeing.
