Our 98 Endura is my work knife, tradeing off every other week with a close competiter. Until just recently it was my everyday at work carry, period. I got the knife in the summer of 98 in 50/50 edge. About two yrs. ago I had all my gear in my locker as usual, except back then I was useing a bike style lock. When I got to work I relized that the key was on my other key chain, because I had driven our car, that my wife usually drives. I had to have my gear which encludes my web holster belt, along with my body armor. We had AF-2 out on the flight line, so the lock had to come off. With Endura in hand I started sawing away, in less then 5 minutes I was in my locker. The blade was dull, but not as dull as I would have thought(10 strocks on a medium AK stone brung back the fact. edge). Now I'll tell you somthing that I'm about 95% sure, happened. One night in the summer, as usual for the time of year, we had been running some flight line exercises. Not long into one, after I had been chaseing an agresser on foot, we were interupted by an incoming C-130. I had not relized it at the time but during the vigerus chase my Endura had fallen out of my pocket, and I new basically were it was. We have to clear the area for incoming flights, but before leaving that particular area I seen were it was laying. I'll I could do was sit and watch, and hope it missed it. From my location at night it sure looked like a direct hit. After taking care of my ART responsibilities, I went over and secured it, the knife was laying face down clip up. Ecept for being dirty, it was no worse for ware. I'm not 100% sure this happened, but the knife was laying right were the 130s huge rear tire marks are left when they taxi through. This knife will always be special to me. RKBA!
