First, I'd like to acknowledge one or our senior 'Suspects' Bob Porter who afforded me this aquisition opportunity. He is in every sense a Gentleman and bent over backwards (not literally) to make a dream come to fruition.
This afternoon the Canadian equivalant of the brown & yellow truck arrived at my door. Needless to say, I grabbed the package from the young lad and rushed to the living room with my plastic envelope like a kid at Christmas time. Out came the P-SARK and soon enough there was nothing but shards of plastic at my feet.
I laid the worn EKI box on the livingroom table for a minute, but only for a minute. You can only imagine the visual orgasm! I am now the proud owner of a 98 Commander-BT (#729) . A quick preliminary inspection revealed slight user marks on the clip screws. Other than this, the knife is in pristine condition. Gentlemen, this knife is smooth! I have already drawn first blood (I find this knife to be a lot sharper than my other production EKI models). There is a noticeable difference between the 98 and my 2000 model, both in substance and smoothness.
Many thanks again to BRP!
...and a Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
