One of my best friends has a veteran-focused 501(c)3 charitable organization in Houston called give us paws. See giveuspaws .org. Also on Facebook. He and a team of service dog trainers have made huge differences in many post-military lives. Thank you.

GUP lost a family member and important part of the organization this week. Penny is likely the main person y’all interfaced with through your generous donations. She put together all the swag for bladeshow. An absolute sweetheart and good friend. Houston has been hit hard with ice/snow and rolling blackouts. A rough go for the business, but nothing compared to the loss of Penny.

I never interacted with her personally. I just hit the Donate tab on the site but it still hits home.
