a $1300 NMFBM and a Haiti Earthquake Dogfather ??

If it was on Fleabay then it's pretty typical of a lot of scourge over there on that site

If I'm right about the Dogfather auction, it has "that site's" "Charity Works" insignia showing in the title line which, if it works like it used to, "that site" collects the money for the designated charity chosen and then the seller ships the knife once the charity is paid. I haven' looked in to this recently, but that's how it used to be set up when it was called Mission Fish (Not sure if part of "that site" or affiliated with them) years back. I haven't seen the other auction yet. I sure hope people aren't taking advantage of a serious crisis to line their pockets...

EDIT: The DF Seller has chosen Doctors Without Borders to receive 100% of the proceeds through Charity Works. He/She's basically donated a knife for charity.

If you look at it, the Dogfather is actually being auctioned with proceeds being donated to...

And the NMFBM is a high price, but it's a 1 of 13 satin & snake.
I wouldn't pay that much for it... but it is rare.

Just sayin'... and no, neither are mine.

.

The description states this:
"I am donating 100% of the proceed from this auction to Doctors Without _______. They are at the front line of Haiti Disaster and doing their best."
The amount being donated is also listed as 100% in the "e-yay Giving Works" box.
It appears that the entire sale price goes to the charity.

That's good in my book!

That 1 of 13 SS NMFBM is sweet!

reading is fundamental, and I failed to read more than the title.

my mistake. pardon the distraction folks.

Damn you and your distractions! Tell ya what win that Mistress and send it to me...we'll call it even....this time!! :D

Haiti Dogfather is good to go.

The NMFBM, well, some people here are marking stuff up just as much, so...

whoever is selling that nmfbm le - contact me, i'm interested in a no commision - better price deal :)

For what it's worth, I and a few other people on here, know who is selling the NMFBM and he seems to be a really good guy. I have spoken with him extensively and he is just trying to recover what he has in it.

I wish I had the money to justify the cost, I would grab it.

I have no idea which auction site you're talking about but some people like to do good deeds for the pat on the back.

The way it works is you set up your donation account for MissionFish with a valid credit card and select the percentage to give to your favorite charity. At the end of the auction, MissionFish charges your card based on the final price and the designated amount (In this case, the final price) then sends the money to your chosen charity.

And yes the Dogfather is mine. It's a safe queen so I figure If I don't use it they way it intended, then I should use it for good deeds. 100% of the proceed to Doctors Without Borders. I pay for shipping out of my own pocket. No funny business here.

Great to hear. Hopefully it brings twice what it's worth.

Appreciate what you are doing - it is very generous. Thank you!

nice thing you're doing there, my apologies for the reactionary and inaccurate rant. ;)

Very nice gesture there.

Which is more mark up? The NMFBMLE snakeskin 1/13 or the $349 dollar S5le? I would say that S5L# is much higher mark up.

I have seen regular FBMLE's go for $900+, and that one has the snake skins and full satin to zero bevel convex. Not too bad. The other one he is selling is a user and $1100
