A 3 7/8 Trapper

I was lucky enough to trade my way into this nice Moore Maker Trapper. My first ever MM branded knife and I am very happy with it. It's a #5201 made in 2003 according to the tang stamps. I can't decide if the jigged yellow handle is Delrin or bone. Either way it's nice. Anybody want to guess at who made it? I'm not sure myself.
I have carried and used Trappers a lot and IMHO this size might be the best size for carrying and using. To bad they aren't more common.
Any other fans of the 3 7/8 Trapper out there.

That's bone. Most likely Queen-made. Very nice. :thumbup:

It's my favorite size for a trapper. Schrade 293s are that size as are the GEC #48s. I have to get one of those MM's for my collection...

You are probably right. The guy I got it from said he thought it was bone but I don't think he was sure either. It is a nice knife. The pictures don't do it justice.

I like any knife that is 3-7/8", it's my favorite length. Pocketable, yet large enough for anything. Here are some of mine.

Doh, I meant 293 for the Schrade, not 294... 294 is the jack on the same trapper frame. Thanks for the correction and great pics!!

BTW, I have seen at least one "294 trapper". Probably a mistake or end of days knife:
