I am always surprized when friends do not know that the ABS and the Knifemakers Guild both have membership categories for us collectors.
I have not been a "member" of either that long, but I have so many friends in both organizations (many of them belonging to both) that I thought I would enjoy showing my support.
If any of you are interested in becomming an Associate Member of the American Blade Smith Society or Honorary Member of the Guild or if you are a maker interested in full membership, email me and I will get information for you.
If anyone has information on the PKA or other groups inside and outside of the States and if they have a membership category for collectors, let me know. It would be good to have contact info for all the groups in this thread.
For collectors the dues are very reasonable (around 20 bucks) and you get that warm fuzzy feeling that you are supporting groups that keep our hobby advancing as well as newsletters (both well done), info on shows that are affiliated with the group, get togethers and hammerins along with membership lists and other information.
