Hello to Joseph and all our Forum friends! In keeping with the spirit of VML's threads showing his shell quilloned Hell's Belles with other period sidearms I've included one of my Colt Revo's here. This is the first HB that Bill had done with the shell motif cross guard and it is a delight to behold from the deep belly curve to the flawless execution of the clip point. The blade is about 12" long and nicely tapered to 5/16" at the guard and has tremendous power while offering up that whip lash back cut capability! The modified dog bone handle of cocobolo has iron pins for registry and favors a saber grip. After handling this knife you can tell that it would do well in any venue or arena it found itself in. One could say that Bill Bagwell can look back on his knives' evolution over the last 40 yrs satisfied that he has steadily improved them and placed these grand weapons into the hands of those who value them or go into harm's way! Gratitude to Joe Paranee for posting these threads and to all for viewing. Sincerely Bob Furusho

Cool stuff once again. I love the detail of the handle on that one.

On a related note i have been trying to decide what grips to put on my Ruger New Vaquero to match with my Bagwell. I'm torn between getting some ebony or blackwood to match my HB or getting stag and then ordering a stag HB:p I just recieved my my Eastwood holster rig from Alfonsos of Hollywood to complete the set which is stunning work in its own right.

Thanks again Bob and Joe for sharing these Bagwells. I know i love to see them.

Thanks again, Joe, for posting this - please pass on all of our thanks to Bob.

I wonder if he has any more pics of this one ... would be interesting to see it directly side-on ...

PS Crossada: Stop making me jealous! :D

bagwells at present are the only bowie that have a unique mystique, although many makers certainly produce great knives, bagwell is in a in a class by themselves, bill is an oudoors lover whom loves to shoot his game with ole timey sharps rifles.although many modern magnum lovers swear buy by their supersonic projectiles, bill relies on his precise aiming & bullet placement to bring down trophies that are the envy of those trekking the lonely & distance areas of the world. bill is one of the last of his kind. a man that talks the walk & walks the talk.his bowies are sure to enjoy a niche shared by few other makers.---dennis

Thanks again, Bob and Joe.
Excellent looking HB, the clamshell guard is really grand
and a cocobolo dogbone is a beautiful handle design.

Fantastic Fighting Bowie, Bob. Colt as well !

Well said Dennis and dead on true. He is one of a kind... just like his knives.

the quillon look like fists. That knife is burly and full of badassery. Looks like it could pretty much decapitate a man with one stroke.

Everything just looks so well executed on this piece. Mighty fine knife indeed.

I really like that idea Lorien, I'd love to see a Hell's Belle with fist or hands at the end of the C guard; personally I think it would look amazing :).
