Kind of a cross between a bearded axe and a knife. Fun to make and I think very useful in camp.

I forged this from a bar of 1/4 x 2 inch 5160, did a convex grind and textured the flats. The handle is macassar ebony.

Good for you. Haven't we all wanted to make something really different?

This one does look cool,( edit: super-cool,) and I bet you're right, useful in camp.

I was actually thinking about making a knife like that!
You can get your hand close to where you're cutting with that design.
Very nice!

That is very cool. I have been trying to design something like that in my mind. Thank you for showing me what it's supposed to look like. For a Northwest hunter/fisherman that looks exceedingly handy.

That is very cool it looks like it would do lots of job's very well I bet it would work great on pizza

Here is a note that I just got back from a customer:

Mr drew, I took your bearded knife and large chopper camping with me. The bearded knife was used exclusively for food prep. Treated it like an ullu with a handle. Worked great.
