Just wanted to say a big Thank you to Evan .
He recently reincarnated this old TL 29 using simple hand tools.
Lucky me (hang on what am I saying I just turned 50) won the prize .
One good thing about living in Australia is that for a couple of weeks after everyone's forgotten your birthday- presents keep turning up.
Best of all was today. Evans beautifully rehandled TL 29 arrived with a very generous extra -a cool pocket slip that he also made.I love it mate.
Fantastic job and thanks for the kind wishes.

Congrats meako and belated birthday wishes from Alabama. I had to do a double take at your photo as I didn't notice your friend the first time. :) Evan did a terrific job on the TL 29 and it looks wonderful. :thumbup:
 
I'm glad they made it safely!! Enjoy 'em, bud!

That was definitely a fun tutorial to work on, and it just makes it that much better that someone will get to enjoy the final product!

That's a really nice knife you won. I bet you appreciate it even more when I saw the work that was put into it.

It was fascinating seeing how Evan made that beauty.

You can really see how the pins were sanded flush in that close up. Wonderful that there was "new life" breathed into that TL!
 
Congrats, Meako, and Happy Birthday! Evan did a splendid job on the knife, and I hope my first attempt at a sheath turns out half as good as his!
Don't worry about 50, Meako; with Evan's talent, he could probably refurbish you, too :D
