Had an AWESOME surprise last night at dinner with two of my most favorite people and got to cross a line off the ol' Bucket List.....a spectacular Bird and Trout knife by my friend Jerry Hossom.

I've wanted one since I first laid eyes on one years ago as there are VERY FEW Makers whose work is so instantly recognizable as Jerry's.....his eye for lines and style knows no bounds, some of the very best extant.

Exhibition-grade Amboyna Burl affixed to a beautifully tapered-tang that's adorned with a Mosaic-pin sporting a perfectly hand-rubbed blade with a scalpel-like edge and leg-breaker......what more would an old Quail Hunter ask for? ;)

I got that extraordinary Retribution a year or two ago and now this....hard to beat. :D

That's amazing I've never seen one before. I definitely see the family resemblance.

Congratulations you've been knocking them dead lately.

I do love Mr. Hossom's style! And I love that knife!

So glad you have it Dudley!

Super addition there, Dudley! Great design by Jerry. Wish I had one with his leg option back in the day. Many a quail hit the pan back then.

Congrats!
