A becker as a fire steel?

Is the 1095 cr-v steel in the Becker knives able to throw sparks when struck with a flint for fire starting? I would like that ability, but only for for emergency use.

Yes but you will need to add a 90 degree spine.

you will need a 90 degree spine to use with a ferro rod, just strip the coating for the flint to throw sparks.

Just remember....them sparks is hot steel flying away.....not stone.
