What you guys cookin' tonight???...gonna lit the BBQ with another becker.....

Dang that looks good. Ate some BBQ shish kabob (had to look that up too spell right) a couple weeks ago. Doesn't get better than that eh? Actually cut up some deer venison tonight with the BK24. Too lazy to take pics. This was the last of my venison too til next season which is coming shortly.:) Nice pic Denny. I gotta get a 5.

Gotta love the 5 in the kitchen! I don't use it very often but my wife loves it. Says she can split a frozen chicken in one easy slice. I've used it a little on bbq and such but not lately.

DSD - congrats on a great looking 5!

Does the carbon steel taste ever go away? I have a stripped 16 that I use for some food prep (has a natural apple patina now) from time to time and it still makes my food taste a bit like metal.

EDIT: the reason I ask is I was thinking of buying the cook in the family a Becker for her kitchen. Does it transfer any taste to meat, potatoes, veggies?
