A better 110 sheath

Could anyone suggest a better sheath for belt carrying the 110 than the nylon one it comes with, I mean it works but carries to high for my preference.

There are lots of sheaths available, from the factory leather sheath to custom kydex and leather. You could probably find any combination of material and carry mode you would want depending on how much you want to spend. I carried a 560 in Iraq in a Tactical Tailor knife/flashlight pouch attached to my IBA and most of the tactical nylon places have a version of this. When I ever get around to having the blade replaced on my 560 I'm going to do a kydex open top sheath with a small techlock for general out in the woods carry.

serveal guys on who frequent this forum make customs...rudderjt comes to mind 1st.

Hello pyro777
One option I like is horizontal carry with the Cordura/nylon sheath. It will work for vertical or horizontal carry. If not someone on her may have a good idea. Some on here have a custom made in pocket sheath for 110's.

Here's one of my favorites. These are made by a pack harness company in Washington State. The one I like has the belt loop designed so that the sheath is tipped forward which keeps the top from digging into your ribs and the tip from hanging so far down. They are made with the flap over style and also the open top style. They are beautifully made sheaths and well worth the money.

P-Dave,
Do you have a web site for those sheathes? I can't read the back of them well enough.

I like the angle design, I can see a gain to that.

Just google Dale Pack Station. That's who made the sheaths. I bought mine off of eBay but can't find any listed right now.

Their web site actually doesn't list the sheaths, so a person would have to call them and ask I suppose.

Plumber, You have some first class sheaths . Rayban, Thats an older 110 in your nice sheath . Perhaps a 2 dot . DM

Dave,
Thanks for the info!

You're welcome. If you contact them and get an answer, let me know. I'd like to pick up some more of them and maybe a quality belt to match. I haven't been able to find a belt to match that is anywhere near the quality of those sheaths.

How did you get the buck stamp one in the middle of the very top pic? Is that specific to the 110 and previously sold by Buck? I've really had a hard time finding sheaths I like also. So I might try and contact this company as well. I've looked online and thought I would find a lot of options since the 110 is so popular but I really haven't found many. . All of these are really nice!

Thanks

The center one in the top picture is (was at one time) a standard Buck sheath. I don't know when or for how long, but they are my favorites as far as standard buck sheaths are concerned. I have that type for 110, 112, 500 and one marked for the 531, 535 and 550.

I think it's my favorite looking so far too. Has more of a pouch look to it which is nice. Wish they would have stuck with that. I like the new ones ok but...I had to order a brown one from buck. I hope it comes in the color of yours and with that color snap too (like it more than the shiny silver color). I was told it would be tan like the option they give for customs. The custom pic for the sheath on the site is too small for me to really tell the looks of it. I spent about the same amount ordering the sheath as I did for my first 110. Thought that was kind of funny.
