Finally after waiting two weeks for the mail delivery of this fine Chris Owens Bowie, I'm now able to show this really large bowie.
The overall length of this piece is 16 1/4" with a damascus blade of 1095/203E of 11 1/8". Chris does his knives a bit differently from others in that it is a flat ground blade for the most part but as can be seen in the image, the cutting area is a convex grind making for an extremely sharp edge on this knife.
This hidden/stick tang blade is housed in a handle of Curly Maple dyed to a rich and warm red/brown tone. The nickle silver guard is fully file worked.
Lastly, one needs to look at the fine wire inlay that Chris has done and then he has accented the inlay with some green leaves which the upper inset shows to best advantage.
A nice leather sheath add the final touch to this fine knife, now the third I have from Chris.
