A little under two weeks ago I packed up three Buck knives (422 4 pin, 549 fillet knife, and a 279) to get a little TLC from Buck. Well as usual, I had great service. The 422 has seen some hard use to say the least, but it was still going strong. The tip had been broken off long ago and reprofiled. It was a do it all kind of knife. One knight someone sat the 422 on top of a grill and melted one side of the slabs of plastic
. Anyway I had the two other knives that had a few issues and thought I would send in the 422 in chance they MIGHT be able to do something about it. I knew this was something that they should not have covered. I did not know how much they would charge or even if they could do anything for my beloved 422 since it was so old and DCed. I left a number for Joe to call me at and let me know if they could do anything or not and some prices.
Today I look in the mail box and I see a package
(I have not seen any of those in a while). I open it in a hurry like a kid at Christmas time
.
What do I see three knives that look good as new. The 422 had a new handle and a new blade :thumbup:. The fillet knife is back to new. The lock up on the 273 seems to be great now. All shavin sharp. I looked at the list and I see NO CHARGES.
I just can not say how great of a company Buck is. I am so greatful they were able to bring my 422 back to life.
Thank you Joe and everyone at Buck Knives
John
