Last week I posted in response to Dale Gribble's thread about finally bonding with his Sodbuster. I mentioned how I'd like to give one another shot, once I was able to find one in CV. My previous experience had been with a black delrin handled stainless model that I purchased at a local Lowes store, and wound up being fairly disappointed in it. The fit and finish was fairly poor on it, and the thing was an absolute bear trap, which was the real deal breaker for me since I struggle with early onset arthritis in my hands.

Later that evening, I received an unsolicited PM from Mr. Hilborn. He said he needed my address, and had a little something to send me.

Wow, this is worlds different from my previous Soddie. Nice fit, finish, a good solid 6 on pull, smooth, sharp, and yeller' :D.

Thank you, Paul, for your generosity and thoughtfulness. You've enlightened me. :)

Thanks for looking!

Paul....You are the man!! Very nice Dan and that's what makes this the best sub-forum on BF. :D

Paul is an absolute gent, one of the very best

Glad that Classic is working out for you Dan :)

Always heartwarming to hear of gestures like this. Good show Paul and congrats Dan.

very nice of you, paul. dan, i hope you enjoy yours as much as i'm enjoying mine. they're great knives and really take on a lot of character when you start using them.

Dan, I'm glad you like it, I hope it serves you well;)

My gifting is only a result of others generosity, so many do so much more:thumbup:

I am overdue in giving thanks and a thread will soon follow once I'm able to get all gifts rounded up. To list a few...thanks will be going out to "mike" who posted above, Andi, aka Humpa and Jeff, aka Black Mamba:thumbup:

Another is Duane, aka sitflyer;)

There is no place like this Traditional forum and I am so lucky to be a part of it:)

Hard to beat those yellow Case sodbusters!
I would even venture to say, given the price, and usefulness, it is Case's best bang for the buck, hands down!!
I carry a few good knives, right up to a T.Bose WT, but I won't give up my Case Yellow Sodbuster!
A great gift, from one of our most esteemed members here!!
Nice going, Paul!

Watch out, Parke!! The first one is free!!
