I’ll start out by saying I’ve had a rough couple of days. I’m an IT consultant by trade and part-time EMT by passion. Anyways my day started on Sun at 1am when I was paged for a rescue dive and dragging a canal. It wasn’t looking very promising and a small girl was involved. After several hours of looking and dragging we found her and luckily she wasn’t much worse for wear. She was however tangled up in some heavy fishing line on the side of the bank about a quarter mile from where we thought she may be. She had wandered from her back yard which was close to the canal when mom wasn't looking. I pulled out my XM and cut her loose. I guess I wasn’t paying attn to my knife after i cut her loose. I went to pocket it and dropped it in the muck. It had some really nasty goo in it from the canal. After getting home I stripped it apart and cleaned it and it was good as new.

The only problem was I was putting the screws back in and twisted the screw head right off.. Doh…. Later that night I PM’ed Rob and let him know I couldn’t find any screws on MonkeyEdge or the Hinderer site and asked where I could get them. He simply replied with send me your address and I’ll send them out. So I got home today from dealing with the usual pain in the butt clients and million dollar deals we slave away on to find a priority box in my mailbox. I was thinking, I wasn’t expecting anything and I look and see it’s from Hinderer. I thought wow they sent it 3 day. The I opened it up and it had the screws and a Hinderer patch in it. I was like sweet man that made my day today. It seems like a small thing but it was greatly appreciated. If more companies had customer service like Hinderer we would all be much better off. It’s also the reason I ordered another 400.00 worth of stuff form there site yesterday. I support the companies that support our community of forum members.

The patch is on my TAD jacket already and looks great. So a BIG thank you to Rob. The knives are outstanding and the customer service is second to none.

Glad the little girl was OK.....I 2nd that. They are a bunch of awesome folks with the best customer service I have ever seen. And yes Rob is a true gentleman that is great to deal with. He is an asset to Hinderer. Getting ready to order some goodies myself.

Awesome to hear that the girl was ok! Thank you, ec9 for serving like you do.
I love to hear stuff like this, rescuing a child and using a knife, as it was intended, to do it. Also love hearing about the amazing customer service from the Hinderer crew. I haven't been a part of the Hinderer fold for very long but it's great to know that when it comes right down to it, they're there not only for the products they make, but for the people who use them.

First off, thanks for your service and the positive outcome, when I first started reading I thought differently (expired little girl and lost XM).

Sure is nice how the XM is beautifully constructed, expertly machined with amazing tolerance along with unparalleled simplicity.

I sure wish their customer service wasn't so good, it would be easier to spend less.

;-)

Instead, I feel the same way you do and we are not alone. Too bad more companies don't realize that something as simple as a prompt response to a potential issue or following through with a small part can endear you to them and makes it that much easier to send more business their direction.

Excellent to hear! Glad you were taken care of pronto! Thanks for your service.
