InsaneMachine, a good friend of mine, got me a RAT Pack RC3 for Christmas. I think it was the best present I have ever recieved. I love the blade, I have seen many RAT-3's and expected this blade to be bigger (thicker scales and blade) than it is-it is a great size for EDC and companion carry and it will see alot of use. The edge and finish as usual are perfect and the G10 scales are quite nice. It slices like no other. I still prefer the HEST-I think it's probably my favorite RAT knife as far as overall design (I turn 21 tonight so it will see a TON of use in the next few days-I'm a Wisconsinite with Norwegian blood so you can do the math on that one) and comfort. The RC3 grip isn't quite as secure. My only complaint is the knife rattles in the sheath, even though it is still stiff to pull out (???) Both my HEST and RC3 kydex sheaths rattle and it drives me nuts. I'll have to put it to farther use soonly. It looks so awesome I don't think I want to wreck the finish! Even though the ESEE logo and bright orange handles don't coordinate it is one badass looking knife. Thanks to all of you who went through the headache to roll these out-MrsShotgunner, Shon, Jeff and the rest of you that put up with all the headaches of getting these customized blades out to us. I greatly appreciate it.
