I just received the KA-BAR 4062 Dozier I won in the GAW RLDubbya hosted. and I love it already.
It's nice and lightweight, slim, pretty neutral in hand, and just generally my kinda simple.

I did take my Dremel and add a 30 second sharpening choil, because i prefer them since I sharpen on basic stones.
If I had som kind of sharpening system I may not have added one at all.

Now I really thought that lanyard he made and put on the knife was awesome, but purple isn't my color and it was just a bit too big for my taste.
I tried and tried to remove it without cutting but I just couldn't do it , so I hope he doesn't mind.
All is not lost though because purple is my mom's favorite color so I think I'm going to rework it into a bracelet and send it to her.
I really hated to cut it off, and hate to mess up the cool lanyard but I really think my mom might love it as a bracelet.

Overall I think this knife will work out pretty well for me, it really is my kinda knife and wish I had gotten one sooner based on initial impressions of course.

A big thanks to RLDubbya for the knife, and again I really hope you don't feel bad about the lanyard.

Just kidding, you're both good dudes you for being appreciative and him for having done it!

I'm proud to be left handed, to know what used to be done to leftys and how we have survived:D
But seriously, in some countries they used to force kids to be right handed by tying their left hands.

I gotta say thanks again for the knife.

Btw here's the bracelet I came up with out of that lanyard.
I knew I couldn't let it go to waste, and my mom should love it .

I couldn't do anything braided...ect since I had cut it off, but I think simple is just fine.
I really did hate to do it, but it would've been banging into my leg and annoying me so sadly it had to go.
