To our Dearest Uncle! :D

I am not the most eloquent man in the world, but I just wanted to give a bit of gratitude for designing some outstanding knives designed for every application a sharpened edge can be used for. I purchased my BK9, my first Becker purchase, about 7 years ago and although I have cut down dozens of trees and split hundreds of logs, the 9 still performs like a dream. Never, when I stared this hobby, did I imagine knives performed like this.

Lately, I have been searching for choppers that can outperform the 9, with the price/value equation in mind. I exclusively use it for most chopping/batonning/splitting tasks. My research has taken me to several YouTube videos, many custom makers, many articles, and dozens upon dozens of threads about chopper performance. My research has consistently driven me to one conclusion--for the price, the BK9 can't be outdone. Matter-of-fact, many knives with much higher price points can't touch the performance of the 9! The ergonomics can't be touched (see what I did there :D) and the blade grind angles are damn near perfect. Sure, I can go buy other Choppers for $800, but what have I truly gained? The chance to say "look what I bought... And will never use because it has the cost of 3 car payments!"

At this point, with the incredible amount of time spent to determine which large knife will be my next purchase, I believe one logical conclusion has reared its head, to buy another BK9 when needed.

A few other value points must not go without being said: you have engaged your loyal fanbase like no other. You are truly just one of us. You are not above the "new to the knife craze" newbie just getting self-involved within this small community. You are a common man with a not-so-common approach to a common tool. You have created value seldom to any industry and I believe I can speak for all Beckerheads when I say Thanks! Thanks for the greatly appreciated knife designs, thanks for the opportunity to engage you personally, and thanks for the sense of community built around trust of your product and ability to take care of the customer.

You have made your brand extremely easy to support and I, for one, will continue to purchase your knives as long as they are sold!

TO ANYONE WHO FEELS THE SAME, please post your most well used, cherished Becker knife!!

Bush-Haus, you are exactly correct on all counts. Very good post; I could not agree with you more.

BTW, that sure is one purdy Nine you have there! It has that look that only time, tales and care can provide.

You need a BK9, you can't not have a 9. Assimilate.

Owning a BK9 will cause your tires to wear more evenly and your house will be 4% less likely to be struck by a meteorite (contact your insurance agent for a discount). And while you won't be able to command the loyalty of woodland creatures, they will be more open to your suggestions and may come to your aide if they're feeling generous. Also, legend has it that somewhere deep in the forest is a mysterious doughnut shop that offers a 5% discount on apple fritters to BK9 owners. IF you can find it...

Truer words cannot be spoken!

Its a toss up between my 11 and 2 which one has seen the most use outside. My 5 and 15 have also seen a ton of use, but with lighter tasks that don't wear on the blade as much. Here are a few pictures :D

That's a good looking 2 you got there! Loving the "I've seen some things" look. :D

Becker for life. My bk9 has served me in 3 countries and 5 US states, through unbelievable abuse. I will never be without one!

To be properly outfitted, I might suggest:

One necker (11/14/24/D24), one Tweener and a Big One - should the Big One happen to be a BK9, all the better!
