Well...today I turned fifty...a half century old...when I was born there were only 49 states...two score and ten...

you get the idea...

As some might have seen I bought myself a Ken Coats slip joint to mark this occasion. Tonight at dinner Dad gave me another knife to mark it as well. This is another handmade, not marked with the maker's name. Scales of what I am sure is box elder, unusual mosaic pins for the scales. Easy opening...not a nail breaker at all. Slightly larger than a Case peanut. I would call this one a peanut but it has a spear point main rather than clip. By any name it is a handsome knife and one that will definitely get pocket time...

Happy Birthday Absintheur. I'm sure that knife your dad gave you, will be the best gift you'll get today.

Happy Birthday, sir!

A fitting gift to mark 50 years. Very Elegant.

Happy belated birthday! It's a good looking knife...too bad the maker didn't mark it, but you will cherish it anyway. :)

Happy Birthday Wade:)

All the best for the next 50.........:D

Happy birthday.

That is quite a nice knife...the dyed box elder looks great. The mosaic pins fancy it up a bit.

Well...the birthday wealth keeps growing. My ex found an old stock Cold Steel Master Hunter, Carbon V made in the USA and gave it to me yesterday...so here is the total birthday swag I scored....yo-ho-ho...me hearties!
