A black bladed Ladybug?

Don't ask me why but the image of a black bladed Ladybug with digi-camo handle popped into my head. The fleeting image looked cool...but I was wondering what the Spyderco masses thought. Not that I have anything to do with what is designed of course, but I'd like to keep that in my back pocket in case Sal happens to cross me in the street and asks my opinion for some reason....lol

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a black blade on the Ladybug, Manbug or better yet, on the Dragonfly.

On the Dragonfly and Manbug too...YEP!! Excellent suggestion my friends!! I'm in for all 3. Where do I send the check? haha

I think it would make the perfect caricature of a tacicool folder.

While it may not be battle ready, it still would provide functionality just as the rest of the ladybugs, just in a different package that hasn't been offered as of yet.
Maybe the digi-camo suggestion brings a level of 'cheezy' to it? I was kinda was leaning that way the more I mulled this over.

I was picturing a red FRN and black blade too.....

Good call Deacon, I can see the black and digi camo would have people saying "awe, what a cute little Paramilitary miniature you have there. Is it a pin or does a necklace come with it?"

Imagine turning a Ladybug into a tactical knife.
Sal did Joe, years ago, it's called the Mosquito and it's truly a tactical tool, not just a tacticool wannabe. :D However, AFAIK, only Sal and Ted V over in The Netherlands have them.

Here's a photo Ted took of his:

As I am a new collector, what makes a knife 'tactical' over simply functional? Just looking to learn.....

It is pretty much a marketing term, but it implies military/police use. Should be easy to grip, folders have locking blades, and they are good for combat.

OK I understand now Eric, thanks my man. Makes sense....no other benefit of having a camo ladybug other than helping me to lose it in the weeds when I drop it when fishing, hence tacticool as opposed to tactical.

But I am holding strong to a black blade ladybug!! I want one for no other reason than to...well....I guess I just want one. No other good reason really.

It often means the knife has been "weaponized", either by giving it some real advantage as a weapon, as in the case of that Mosquito, or by just making it look more militarized, with things like black or camo blade coatings and digicam scales.

Thanks Deacon....I understand now.
P.S. - I've been looking for a CF ladybug for a while now, and now I want one of those Mosquitos too. That pic you provided was both cool and depressing CAUSE I KNOW I'LL NEVER GET MY HANDS ON EITHER!!!!!! lol

thanks again brother for the lesson....
