Hi Everyone,
Just thought I'd share a personal story of gratitude. My buddy at work has been a constant source of inspiration, encouragement, and support in my efforts to learn the art of making knives. He is a very talented toolmaker of 20 years and provides me with tidbits of golden wisdom.
This past summer, it was his turn to take home a piece of equipment that was deemed irrelevant to our business. He, in turn, promptly turned that piece of equipment over to my hands. The piece in question? A Wilton Square Wheel Grinder. As a small token of gratitude, I made this little Hunter Utility knife for him.
Specs:
4 3/4" blade of 1075 with checkered thumb stop
East Indian Rosewood
Nickel Silver Guard & Pin
O.A.L. 9 5/8"
I no it does not equal the value of the grinder and pales in comparison to his encouragement and support, but its a start.
Thanks for your time,
Bobby,
Hershey, PA
