So I was google'ing search words "convex zero grind" and looking at the "images" of the search results and came across a post that Andy made back in 2009 at another site.

I really really dig the look of the handles from these times (gotta scroll down a bit). I love how they have a matte-like finish in all shades of brown. I do love the more "polished" look of Andy's current knives, but wish some of these older style finishes are available from time to time. Either way, it was some eye candy for me and wanted to share with FB veterans and newbs alike.

I think one of those Ladyfingers is in the UK at the moment. My first Fiddleback was also from back then :D

Can't seem to remember, think it was one of Maarten's that he sold on British blades several years ago... Alzheimer seems to be getting to me ;)

The first KPH was in that batch. Cool.

Man, a KPH with WI bolster! Geez, if that showed up on this weeks FF............

Yeah, it was shortly after that when Andy announced no more metal bolsters. Just when I was really liking the idea :) I gotta tell ya, a Kephart with emerald burlap and nickle silver bolsters and pins would be to die for! Because somebody would have to kill me to get me to part with it :D

Also I didn't know Andy used to make his knives without secondary bevel. Man I wish I would've known about FB back then, it's NoFair ;)

:D I prefer the current 3D spalting and pins, but the old zero convex was sweet. Mine end up convex all the way after a little while, I think the Camp is the only one that isn't convex all the way now.
