Here's a blue mammoth ivory sub-hilt camp knife I just finished. It's on it's way from Coop to it's new owner. The blade is 6" in length of Mike Norris stainless damascus in hornets Nest pattern. The handle is 5" long and has a blue mammoth tooth spacer and scales of blue mammoth ivory with musk ox horn inlay. The guard sub-hilt and bolster are mokume. I hope you like it. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks for looking,
Mark

That handle is a work of art. The muskox inlay is quite striking.

Psychedelic, but you left out the black liner trim around the boss inlay. ;) Mark, that handle is just amazing. The lines flow all over the place, not just those created by the intersection of the various materials... Like you hadn't tackled enough, you had to even curve the meeting of the guard and tooth, as well as the subhilt and tusk. Dang, you're crazy man! (No that doesn't mean I'm going to be hitch hiking the ALCAN to come see if you will adopt me...just that I wish I could.) :D

If you are able to hitch hike from Honolulu to Fairbanks I will adopt you :D :D. It is a little cold up here at times though, it would take some getting use to. Besides, it seems like you got a pretty good gig down there.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments

pretty cool, Mark:thumbup:

Right about now, the astute can tell a Mark Knapp knife from across the room.

Looks good from there and under my macro lens.

What a pleasure!

Very nice looking work you've done there! This has got to be one of my favorites out of the pieces I've seen of yours. :) Love the handle materials and the way you've incorporated everything together. Good job! :D
