I received a box of Oranges from Ohio the other day. I didn't know Ohio grew Oranges, but these are really tasty.
I order these from the Cabo Wabo Ganza, and have rethought my color choice a hundred times since. I don't usually go for the brighter colors, but now that they are here I am really liking them.
The Vex reminds me of a small Becker BK2. It is a little chunk of a knife. The handle is shorter then I realized, but when I chock up on the knife and use the choil it works great. I wear a large size glove, and it seems like the knife was designed to be handled by using the choil. It should work well as a bush knife and the belly of the blade should work as a skinner also. The weight of the knife is back in the hand.
The Bowie variant of the Ratmandu is an awesome blade. I really like the point on this one, and there is something about the bowie shape that just screams "knife". The handle is plenty long, and the weight is further forward. It just feels like a fast handling blade. When I chock up on the choil it feels great also. It's just a wicked looking blade. But I'll probably use it mostly for slaying vegtables and meat in the kitchen.
It turns out that I am happy with the color choice also. One thing is for sure. If I drop these knives, I shouldn't have any trouble finding them .
The Rat handle is Orange and Green, the Vex is Orange and Black.
