A Boy and his Knife

I just finished watching Disney's "Rescuers Down Under" with my 2 year old son. The whole movie hinges on the moment the small boy releases an eagle from a poacher's trap with his pocketknife... just wanted to share a great knife moment from a really good movie. What a great way to teach our kids about responsible knife use! Does anyone else know of kid's movies that feature the responsible use of knives by children?

Romans 6:23

Last night on Dragnet, Sgt. Friday took a light-switch plate off the wall with the screwdriver on his pocket-knife. I couldn't make out what it was except that it didn't have red handles. Hardly a boy and his knife, granted, but if Joe Friday carries a pocket knife, shouldn't everyone?!

mnblade, you know it re: Joe Friday. "The facts, ma'am, just the facts..."

I would think that whenever we see proper, responsible use of a knife, especially with kids such as this movie, that a letter to the movie studio be sent, like a sort of positive reinforcement, thanking them for their positive image. I haven't seen the movie (no kids), but I'll ask my brother, as he is also a knifeknut here and has four of his own.
