Well, I have been really busy lately, and not around as much. It has been raining so much lately...for days on end now, so hard just to get work done. BUT my recently acquired brace of matching Fiddlebacks is in the process of looking less new :)

Woodsman- convex ground spalted O-1 tool steel, 5/32 or 4mm, tapered tang, blackwood over natural, with lime green pin stripe.
Bushboot- convex ground spalted O-1 tool steel, 1/8 or 3mm, tapered tang, blackwood over natural, with lime green pin stripe

Toxic beauty blooms in my rain forest :)

Great pics Brian, how are you liking that woodsman?

Thanks man. Really have only used it in the kitchen a bit, but man does it do well there. Was trying to not let the patina start just yet but it is nearly time :)

Great looking set! It's always a pleasure when you get to use and carry an item crafted with such great quality, I am jealous.

Great choice of handles:thumbup: Pining for my Camp and Ladyfinger with the same ones..

Very nice Brian. Good to see you back for a bit! That is a very sweet pair of matching knives...very capable pair too in your hands. Thank you for the photos. They rock!

Thank you, it is indeed a pleasure to carry and use such well crafted knives!

I love the deep richness of the blackwood, and it feels great in hand as well.

Thanks Mark. I've been so busy lately that sadly these two have spent much more time on my desk, and just being fondled (and fondled a lot...) conjuring images in my mind, than they have spent in the woods. Yesterday I just grew stir crazy and strapped on the Woodsman, stuck the Bushboot in my front pocket, and went for a walk in my own woods in the rain. I never get tired of enjoying the wonderful organic look and feel of Andy's knives, nor do I ever grow weary of their transporting my mind back to a simpler place in time. Very capable, indeed they are.

These are probably my two favorite Fiddleback models. I have two Woodsmen (one of the old models in very thick steel and one of the new design), and just acquired a Bushboot that should be on its way to me.

Man, your pics are excellent. I love wet knife pics. Not enough to try it on knives I am selling though. Yikes! That 01 will patina ASAP if left wet like that!

NoFair. I apologize. I have literally thrown away 6 camp knives since you ordered yours. Warp and tapered tang. Is tapered tang a must? African Blackwood over green is what you wanted? The SS Ladyfinger got ground last week. Woot!

Beautiful pics Mist! Wishing I had those knives and your talent.

Awesome pair, those lime pinstripes look great with the handles! How do you like that woodsman?

My bad Andy. Still maroon linen over natural with a white spacer/stripe. Colors came out really strange on my phone so I mistook the handle combo here.. I'd really love a tapered tang ;) It doesn't have to taper to nothing though..
Great news on Lady. In the mountains using my Bushfingers, but shoot me an email if there is anything:D

The Bushboot immediately became a favorite, and the Woodsman is quickly becoming one.

Thank you Andy. Yeah, you can make them and leave the wet testing to me :) I'm the nut living in the temperate rain forest lol. They were not left wet for long, was in my own woods and just for a short time.

My favorite handle config. Pining for my Ladyfinger with the same as well.

I really like this configuration a lot too...hard for me to have just one favorite in Andy's line, but I do really like the look and feel of these in particular.

Amazing pics!

Thank you!

great knives & great pics

Thanks man, yeah Andy makes some very nice knives indeed!

Beautiful pics Mist! Wishing I had those knives and your talent.

Thanks man, as for the knives I'm sure Andy will make more, and damn he just gets better and better at it! As for talent...I live in a rain forest, really not hard to get knives wet here :)

Andy is really great at coming up with complimentary color combinations and I really love this one myself. Ya know, the trade style pattern and this blade shape has always appealed to me. I love this knife, and I love how it handles. Very versatile in function.

Beautiful knives as usual!

Agreed, Andy does beautiful work!
