The very same item on the official website:
http://www.crkt.com/M2102G?srch_pid=274&child=274&search_id=388080

It's not surprising where it is made since the official website disclose that the blade steel is 8cr14mov.

What I would like to mention is the price.
Compared with the MSRP from the official website , the money I paid for the knife is very close in number but counted in ¥ rather than $.

It's not a fake or counterfeit but something genuine.
The production amount of these knives (including other models of china-made CRKT knives and some other brands like gerber)could be counted as huge as far as I know.

Once I said that a 8$ SRM knife can be equal to a $50 MERICAN-made one in quality.
I was not kiddng :)

are you a dealer in china by any chance?? and basically NO that product is not genuine..if you paid way less than then what it normally retails for, especially the same amount in ¥ rather than $ like you stated, there is NO way in hell that product is genuine....

wb, are you saying you paid 50 yuan for it (That's how I'm reading "the money I paid for the knife is very close in number but counted in ¥ rather than $"). Heck of a deal, if so.

I am an IT engineer may you believe or not.

just back to shanghai from Silicon Valley a month ago :)

Waterbeef, you seem to be on a mission to convince people to buy Chinese OEM knives. Why is that? I apologize if you've answered the question previously, but I'm very curious.

The obvious conclusion to draw is that you have some sort of financial stake in it, but I don't want to assume that.

There is no legal shop to sell these knives in china.

I bought it online.

Massive such things in stock.

Interesting. If it's genuine, I can see how it could be much cheaper buying from the OEM...

The "Boker Magnum A-Stan", $42 MSRP, $26...

Enlan EL-01... $15, free shipping.

I'm just a knife enthusiast as you are.

I have that knife. The CRKT. Lowe's sells it for $19.99. It is well made (for the price), but as I have stated before I do not like the veff serrations. They make the blade so thin the first time I used it I chipped metal out of 2 of them.

Did you notice waterbeef's location? He's in China. That model of CRKT is made in China. I have no problem believing that one could purchase a genuine Chinese-made CRKT in China for pennies on the dollar.

Maybe I should take a picture of myself as my avatar so everyone would know I'm chinese with more ease :)
